Sacred Heart of Jesus Church

A Mission of the Anglican Church in America

Sacred Heart of Jesus is  a mission of the Anglican Church in America which is part the worldwide Traditional Anglican Communion.  We maintain the three streams of the Ancient Church using the Sacramental/Liturgical worship, Evangelical preaching and teaching and Pentecostal or Charismatic gifts, all found in the ancient historic church.

The focal point of our Sunday worship at Sacred Heart of Jesus is the Holy Eucharist.  We use the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the Anglican Missal together with the 1940 Hymnal, blending in contemporary songs in a warm, friendly atmosphere.  We offer an opportunity for anointing and prayers for healing at the conclusion of each service.

Following Acts 2:42 we continue in the Apostles teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayers.  We are given to works of charity seeking to present the Sacred Heart of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to the world in which we live and move.  Above all, we desire to follow Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. Following our Lord’s example, we pray for the unity of the Body of Christ throughout the world in accordance with John 17.

At Sacred Heart of Jesus we hold to the traditional beliefs, teachings, and values of Christianity in the midst of a very liberal world.

If you are looking for a church home, we urge you to come and visit us, or as Jesus said: “Come and see.”
